This is a general list of items you should consider bringing. A complete list will be included with your information packet. Quick-dry fabrics are recommended but not required. Pack in a soft duffel or canvas type bag. (No hard luggage, please.) NOTE: If you would like to bring a musical instrument of any size, please call us first.
- Rain gear - quality 2-piece waterproof rain suit (Don’t skimp here; ponchos are not effective.)
- Swimsuits or fast-drying shorts (1 for every 2 days)
- Shirts/T-shirts (1 per day)
- 1 long sleeve shirt (for sun protection)
- 1 pair lightweight long pants/skirt (for sun protection)
- Undergarments
- Fleece jacket or sweatshirt
- 1 - 2 hats with strap
- Bandana
- Dirty clothes bag
- 2 pair river sandals (ex: Teva, Chaco brands hold up well)
- Tennis shoes/socks (optional)
- Lip protection & suntan lotion (SPF 45+ and waterproof)
- Hand lotion
- 1 - 2 pair sunglasses with strap
- Spare prescription glasses (if used)
- Toiletries
- Medications or personal first aid items (if needed)
- Feminine hygiene products
- Small packs of kleenex
- Small towel and washcloth
- Small flashlight (AA battery size) and/or headlamp (very handy)
- Extra batteries & bulb
- Day or fanny pack with water bottle (optional on 3-day)
- Fishing gear/license (optional)
- Binoculars (optional)
- Pen & small notebook (for taking notes of your experience)
- Camera & film (more than you think you need)
- 6 large zip lock bags (for storing wet items & keeping things dry)
- Small can of insect repellent (or one per family) (optional)
- Money for purchases before/after the trip and for gratuities at end of trip
- Small pillow or small pillowcase (to cover pillow which is provided)
- Identification document (driver’s license, passport, or military ID) and medical insurance information
