Canyon Ministries

From the beginning, Canyon Ministries has been dedicated to upholding the authority of Scripture and presenting the evidence seen in the Grand Canyon which supports a young earth. The Lord has blessed Canyon Ministries and the mission He has invited us to do and we are excited about the adventure the Lord has placed before us.

2009 will see the launch of our second trip aimed at "influencing the influencers," a trip we are calling the "Christian's Leader's Trip." In cooperation with Answers in Genesis, scholarships will be provided for 24 Christian leaders, theologians, and professors from seminaries and Bible colleges from around the world. Many of these professors have either not taken a position on the interpretation of the first eleven chapters of Genesis or have adopted an "old earth" view. The trip will be accompanied by some of the top authorities on the historicity of Genesis, the scriptural and geologic evidence for a global flood, geology and the Grand Canyon. It is our prayer that we will provide an environment of teaching and open discussion that will result in strengthening their faith in the literal truth of Genesis.

We invite you to be a part of our ministry through our non-profit arm to provide scholarships for youth groups, pastors, professors and Christian leaders. These trips allow them to experience the wonders of the Grand Canyon first-hand and to personally see the geologic evidence which supports and upholds the Word of God.

As a non-profit organization, we accept corporate and personal funds. Scholarships may pay for the full trip, or just a percentage of it, and will be dependent on the individual's need as well as available funds as determined by the Canyon Ministries' Board of Directors. Scholarships may include an accompanying spouse of family member but do not normally include travel expenses.

Donations:

Tax deductible donations* may be given to support Canyon Ministries' Scholarship Fund** or general operating fund. (Note that the general operating fund does not include salaries.)

Please know that you will not be solicited for additional or ongoing donations. Your support of Canyon Ministries is between you and the Lord, as we know that if it is His will for us to continue in the path He has laid before us, then He will provide - we need not ask.

You should receive a reply from someone on the Canyon Ministries' Scholarship Committee within 30 days, but awarding of scholarships may take several months, depending on funds and the season.

 

If you have already been awarded a scholarship, please complete the Scholarship Registration Form and return it to Canyon Ministries.

 

*Tax-deductible charitable donations may be made to Canyon Ministries under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

**Internal Revenue Code prohibits specifying a specific individual as the recipient of your donation.
