This is an overview of the recent media response to the book controversy.  For the history behind it, see the controversy surrounding the book.

Over the past three years, several anti-creationists organizations have attempted to have Grand Canyon, a Different View banned and removed from the stores within Grand Canyon National Park bookstores.  One of the most predominate in this effort had been PEER (Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility).  In December of 2006, they again attempted to have the book banned by sending a letter to the new Director of the National Park Service.
